What type of stamps do you sell?

Purple Onion Designs has been selling unmounted deeply etched red rubber since 2003.  The stamps do not require cushion because of the deep etching and high quality of the rubber.  They will need some type of adhesive/product to stick to your acrylic block.  There are many quick and easy ways to use unmounted stamps.  Please visit the Using Unmounted Stamps page for more information.

*Please note that the stamps sold on the website are not individually packaged.  We are keeping it old school and helping the environment.

Do you only offer red rubber stamps?

Yes.  Purple Onion Designs continues to offer stamps in traditional red rubber to capture the fine detail that many of the designs contain.  Red rubber inks up easily and will work with all types of inks on the market.  Clear stamps traditionally do not capture the same type of fine detail as red rubber.  They also can be difficult to use with certain inks.  These two qualities of our red rubber stamps will give you the best stamped impression possible.

The images are not available digitally.  Purple Onion Designs believes in preserving the art form of rubber stamping.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide and have a large international customer base from all over the world.  All orders being shipped outside the United States are international orders.

1/15/21 - United Kingdom - We currently are unable to ship orders under £135 to the United Kingdom due to the new VAT rules that went into effect.  If you would like to place an order that is a minimum of £135, please email michele@purpleoniondesigns.com to discuss the ordering process & shipping options.

7/1/21 - European Union - as of July 1, 2021 there will no longer be an exemption for low value €22 goods being excluded from VAT in all European Union countries.  All orders will now be subjected to VAT and possible customs fees upon delivery.  It is the responsibility of the buyer to pay VAT and any other incurred fees upon delivery. 

How do you ship and what are your shipping rates?

Packages are shipped through the United States Postal Service (USPS) for both domestic and international orders.  As of 10/29/21, we will also be offering international shipping with Fed Ex. We try to offer the most economical shipping rates and ship 1st class or Priority Flat Rate depending on the size of your order with USPS.  International orders will ship with Fed Ex if it is less expensive than USPS or if the rate is similar to USPS.  If you would like to have your order shipped with Fed Ex instead of USPS, please contact us and we will let you know the difference in shipping costs.

The shopping cart page will show shipping rates based on your order total for domestic and international orders. 

Shipping internationally is based on order weight.  The shopping cart will calculate by order total.  This is usually the correct rate.  However, if your order does weigh less, you will be notified and a refund will be issued for the difference in shipping.  There may be additional shipping required when ordering deeply discounted stamps, large sets or supplies.  You will be notified via email of the additional shipping after your order is placed.  Please contact us to get a more accurate shipping cost for larger orders that are showing a shipping cost of $50.00 or more.  There are different shipping options available now, which often result in less expensive shipping.

You can always send an email prior to placing your order to inquire about shipping rates, especially on larger orders that are showing a shipping rate above $40.00.  Those orders are defaulting to a Priority Flat Rate box and there could be a less expensive way to ship your order.  The shipping rates charged are actual shipping rates charged by USPS.

How soon will my order ship?

Orders are shipped within 48 hours of receiving a payment.  Please allow additional time during sales and special promotions.  Orders may take at over a week to ship during sales.

Refunds:

If for some reason you need to make a return (e.g. duplicate ordering) please email michele@purpleoniondesigns.com to receive authorization.  Merchandise must be unused and in saleable condition in order to make a return.

Cancelled orders (before shipping) will be refunded minus Paypal or credit card fees. Refunds for returned merchandise will be minus shipping and any Paypal or credit card fees.

Do you have an online gallery?

Yes.  You can view a plenty of wonderful artwork using Purple Onion Designs stamps on our Instagram account & blog.

Do you have a newsletter?

Yes.  You can sign up for our low volume newsletter here to be notified about new releases, sales and special promotions. 

Can I sell items I make using your stamps? 

Since the majority of our stamps are now illustrated by different artists we can no longer be an angel company.  All our stamps are copyrighted by each individual artist and can not be used on items being sold at resale.  These images are for personal use only

Do you offer a publishing incentive?

Yes! If you are published in a major magazine and Purple Onion Designs is listed in the supply list you can receive a credit to use towards stamps.  Just send an email with the details to:
